The Opportunity
Linde AMT UK Limited is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its Lincoln site. The successful candidate will oversee core quality assurance functions while supporting operational excellence across production and project environments. In addition, this role requires a proactive approach to quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
The position demands both technical competence and the ability to influence positive change within teams.
Core Areas of Responsibilities
Quality Assurance and Compliance
The Quality Engineer will plan and execute essential quality assurance activities across the organisation. This includes managing routine quality processes, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 or AS 9100 standards, and meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
Furthermore, the role involves reviewing customer quality specifications and embedding them within internal systems while maintaining accurate documentation and traceable records.
Continuous Improvement and Non-Conformance Resolution
A central focus of the role is leading quality improvement initiatives that strengthen customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will investigate non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate closely with shop floor personnel to identify improvement opportunities.
In addition, the engineer will develop corrective actions, monitor their implementation, and ensure timely closure.
Audit and Performance Monitoring
The role requires conducting internal audits against both customer and internal documentation standards. The Quality Engineer will verify evidence, maintain audit records, and report key performance indicators.
Regular data analysis and monthly reporting will support ongoing investigations and operational transparency.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Working alongside the site management team, the Quality Engineer will contribute to improving processes, projects, and daily operations. The role also includes liaising with suppliers and external service providers to maintain quality standards across the supply chain.
During customer visits, the successful candidate will represent the organisation professionally and communicate clearly regarding quality, performance, and systems.
Training and Technical Support
The Quality Engineer will provide training, coaching, and mentoring to shop floor personnel on quality matters. By strengthening internal capability, the role will reinforce a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirement
Academic and Professional Background
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline. Demonstrable experience in a quality role within the United Kingdom is essential, and the right to work in the UK is mandatory.
Experience in ISO 9001 or AS9100 environments is required, along with formal internal audit training. Lead auditor capability is highly valued.
Technical Expertise
The candidate must be able to interpret technical drawings and apply statistical methods effectively. Working knowledge of Minitab is expected.
Experience in project management, FMEA, and lean methodologies will strengthen the application. Knowledge of Human Factors and exposure to Nadcap standards are considered advantageous. Aerospace industry experience is desirable.
Professional Skills
Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities are critical for success in this role. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate clear communication skills and the ability to build productive working relationships across departments.
