Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician Parking role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly parking garage environment. This position centers on housekeeping duties, basic repairs, and general upkeep to ensure daily operations run smoothly. Since no technical background is required, the organization provides complete training. The role involves consistent physical activity, including walking, standing, and manual tasks throughout the shift.

Primary Areas of Responsibility

Facility Cleaning and Housekeeping

The technician maintains cleanliness across all garage areas by sweeping, mopping, and washing floors, stairwells, and walkways. In addition, the role includes emptying trash receptacles, removing debris, cleaning windows, railings, signage, and common areas, and washing shuttle buses. When required, pressure washing is also performed to maintain presentation standards.

Basic Repairs and General Maintenance

The position supports minor repair work, such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, touching up paint, and addressing small spill areas. Furthermore, the technician reports safety hazards, damages, or equipment issues to supervisors and assists with routine maintenance tasks as assigned.

Safety and Operational Support

The technician helps keep all entrances, pathways, and parking areas free from hazards. During winter conditions, support with snow removal, shoveling, and salting may be required. Adherence to safety guidelines remains essential, along with providing general assistance to garage operations when needed.

Candidate Profile

Education and Licensing

Candidates are expected to hold a high school diploma or GED. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Skills and Work Requirements

The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays. Physical capability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds is necessary, as well as the ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently. Basic communication skills are also essential for daily coordination.
