CPA Program Highlights

GWL’s rotation-based CPA Program offers a unique three-year opportunity to work across multiple diverse businesses. Approved by CPA Ontario, the program helps candidates obtain their CPA designation while building technical skills and business knowledge under experienced mentors.

Rotations

Candidates will experience three different rotations over three years, contributing to professional development, business knowledge, and practical work experience. Rotations will include at least two of the following diverse businesses:

  • Loblaw Companies Limited
  • President’s Choice Financial
  • Choice Properties REIT
  • Holt Renfrew

Candidates will gain experience in various professional departments, including Financial Reporting, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Controls, Risk Advisory, and Tax. Rotation details will be determined based on candidate interest and business needs.

Qualifications

To be considered, applicants must, as of August 31, 2026:

  • Meet the academic prerequisites (CPA PREP) for admission to the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP).
  • Have a minimum overall average of 75% in the courses comprising the academic prerequisites, with a passing grade in each course.
  • Possess the ability to commence full-time employment in Canada.
