Charlotte, NC – Corning, a global leader in materials science innovation, is seeking a highly experienced Platform Deployment Lead specializing in SAP CO to join their dynamic ERP Transformation team. This is a remote-eligible position based in Charlotte, NC (Requisition Number: 67795), offering a competitive salary range of $116,946.00 – $160,802.00 annually, commensurate with experience.
This pivotal role will be instrumental in supporting Corning’s multi-year, multi-entity SAP ERP transformation strategy within the “Record to Report” value stream. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with IT solution architects, factory teams, change management leads, business power users, and value stream leaders to facilitate SAP ERP deployment projects from initiation to delivery.
Responsibilities include:
- Tracking project work items and progress, acting as a key liaison between IT and business counterparts.
- Leading business engagement and readiness phases, gathering requirements, and identifying potential system gaps.
- Facilitating cross-functional communication and managing risk assessment and mitigation plans.
- Leading requirements management sessions for Process, Security, Data, Reporting, and WRICEF.
- Managing testing, training, data migration, and cutover activities.
- Potentially acting as a system tester and validator.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master’s degree in business management, industrial engineering, or computer science with relevant program management certifications.
- A minimum of 12 years of hands-on SAP functional or business consulting experience, primarily in SAP CO and also SAP FI, within large-scale global projects.
- Strong SAP configuration skills.
- Proven soft skills in project management, including effective communication, schedule and scope management, and risk management.
- Experience with cross-functional communication and project management tools like Planview or Microsoft Projects.
