Role Summary

The Hartford is seeking a bilingual Inbound Sales Center Insurance Agent to support its Personal Lines division. This role is designed for professionals who are fluent in Spanish and English and are confident in selling insurance solutions over inbound calls. The agent plays a critical role in assessing customer needs, evaluating risk, and delivering tailored auto and home insurance solutions while meeting performance-driven sales metrics.

Bilingual Sales Support

Once training is completed and bilingual certification is achieved, the agent supports Spanish-speaking customers exclusively while maintaining high service quality and compliance.

Work Location and Schedule

This is a full-time position with remote and hybrid flexibility depending on proximity to office locations.

Candidates located near Hartford, Connecticut, or San Antonio, Texas, are expected to work in the office three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday. Those residing outside these areas will work remotely, with occasional in-office visits as needed.

Licensed Candidates

Duration: Approximately 14 weeks
Training Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern

Please note that time off during training is not accommodated.

Post Training Schedule

After training, agents follow a fixed schedule of Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM local time, with alternating Saturdays. Wednesdays are off during weeks that include Saturday shifts.

Once bilingual certification is completed, the schedule transitions to Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern with no weekend shifts. To ensure consistency, schedules remain fixed for at least the first year of employment.

Licensing and Certification

Candidates must obtain a Personal Lines Insurance License within the designated training timeframe. Paid pre-licensing training is available for unlicensed candidates in select states. However, applicants residing in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi, North Carolina, or South Carolina must obtain their resident license before consideration.

Compensation and Incentives

The hourly rate for this role is $23. In addition, a 10 percent bilingual differential applies after successful certification.

The Hartford operates a performance-driven sales model that offers multiple earning opportunities. Agents can earn monthly, quarterly, and annual incentives, with average monthly incentive earnings exceeding $500 and top performers earning more than $2,000 per month.

The annualized base pay range for this position is $42,800 to $64,200. Total compensation may also include bonuses, recognition awards, and other performance-based incentive programs.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

Candidates must be fluent in Spanish and English and have at least two years of recent sales experience. Comfort with negotiation, objection handling, and inbound sales conversations is essential. Additionally, applicants must maintain all required state licenses and comply with all applicable standards.

Preferred Experience

Sales experience in insurance, retail, or banking is strongly preferred. Prior experience in an inbound call center is considered a plus.

Work Environment Requirements

This is a customer relations role that requires a peaceful workspace. Candidates must have high-speed broadband internet with download speeds of at least 100 MB and upload speeds of at least 10 MB. The internet connection must be hard-wired to company-issued equipment.
