Role Overview
The HRIS Senior Manager is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for enhancing the Center’s operations through high-quality HRIS solutions. This position manages HR systems and applications across Benefits, Workforce Management, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Performance Management, and Document Management. Serving as the lead technical point of contact for all HR system inquiries, the Senior Manager ensures seamless functionality, compliance, and optimization across HR processes, with particular expertise in the UKG Pro platform.
Main Responsibilities
HRIS Management and System Administration
- Oversee the implementation of new UKG features, updates, and upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions and user training.
- Manage user access, security settings, system configurations, and maintain data integrity.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, employment history, benefits, and performance data.
Reporting, Analytics, and Compliance
- Generate reports and dashboards to analyze workforce trends and inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure HR systems comply with labor laws, data privacy, and security regulations.
- Oversee auditing and review of HRIS data for accuracy and compliance
Process Improvement and Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead HR system reviews, module implementations, and continuous operational improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders, union representatives, and vendors to meet organizational and compliance requirements.
- Optimize HRIS user experience through automation, self-service tools, and ongoing training.
Additional Duties
- Support annual HR processes, including open enrollment, year-end activities, and filings
- Serve as a subject matter expert in benefit or payment calculations during CBA negotiations
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace culture
Required Candidate Profile
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience with UKG Pro and UKG Dimensions (formerly Kronos)
- Familiarity with HR tools, including HRIS, Payroll, LMS, and ATS
- Experience managing HR systems and implementing technology solutions
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and consultative skills
- Experience within a unionized environment preferred
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and think strategically

- Candidate must be local to the DMV area or willing to relocate (relocation assistance not provided)
