Role Objective

The organization is seeking a Senior Operations and Accounts Officer to manage overall middle- and back-office operations across both local and international markets. In addition, the selected professional will oversee the margin financing operating model while supporting all related financial products. Core Responsibilities and Functional Areas

Capital Market Operations and Regulatory Compliance

The role demands a solid understanding of SCA and exchange regulations. The officer will ensure all operational activities remain fully compliant with local and international regulatory frameworks. Moreover, corporate actions must be implemented accurately and within defined timelines across all markets.

Financial Accounting and Reconciliation

The officer will be responsible for posting daily accounting entries on Phoenix and TFIN systems. In parallel, daily reconciliation of book balances against bank balances will be required, along with the identification and resolution of variances. Monitoring and managing the company’s financial assets, including capital and corporate Wakala renewals, will also form a key responsibility.

Margin Trading and Product Oversight

End-to-end management of the margin trading product is central to this position. This includes monitoring Lombard and margin financing models in line with regulatory requirements. The officer will also oversee daily trading limits and recommend adjustments when required to mitigate risk and support business growth.

Settlement and Market Operations

The role involves ensuring daily settlements with exchanges and foreign counterparties in accordance with established rules. Responsibilities also include processing settlements for foreign markets, managing end-of-day processing and verification, and ensuring smooth pre-open trading sessions in local markets.

Reporting, Audits, and Stakeholder Coordination

The officer will prepare end of month regulatory reports in coordination with the Compliance team. In addition, close collaboration with the Finance Control Department and external auditors is expected during interim and end of year audits. Active participation in regulatory inspections alongside Compliance will also be required.

Process Improvement and Team Support

The organization encourages innovation. Therefore, the officer is expected to propose ideas that enhance efficiency and automate operational processes. Supporting team members and acting as a backup when required are also integral parts of the role. Assigned projects must be delivered within agreed timelines.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Educational Background

The ideal candidate holds a university degree in finance or accounting and demonstrates fluency in English for both written and verbal communication.

Professional Expertise and Technical Skills

Candidates must have extensive hands-on experience in capital market operations across local and international environments. Full awareness of local market rules, SCA regulations, Lombard structures, and margin financing frameworks is essential. Strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to resolve complex operational issues are critical for success in this role.

Experience Requirements
