Role Overview
The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing pharmacy purchasing data and providing actionable management insights. This role requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical purchasing, distribution, and dispensing processes. The analyst ensures data integrity across Walgreens’ reporting systems, leads continuous improvement initiatives, and develops internal tools to enhance departmental efficiency. This position also provides leadership and training to other business analysts while working on high-profile and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Identify, document, and analyze marketing, customer, and business requirements.
- Translate requirements into formats suitable for product and system development.
- Perform analysis of complex business products and operational requirements.
- Financial & Strategic Planning
- Build business cases and perform financial analyses to support decisions.
- Support stakeholders in planning, organizing, scheduling, and coordinating project activities.
- Process Ownership & Continuous Improvement
- Own key processes and documentation relevant to business analysis.
- Lead initiatives to improve departmental efficiency and analytical capabilities.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a point of contact for colleagues within the department.
- Provide training and guidance to junior business analysts.
Best Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 1 year of product management experience, or High School/GED with at least 3 years of product management experience.
- Experience in product management, economic modeling, and business case development, particularly in B2B environments.
- Strong analytical skills, including workflow documentation and facilitating requirements sessions.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and B2B products and services.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to create and deliver marketing presentations to senior management.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for business purposes.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, nested if statements).
- Experience with Microsoft Access and/or Power BI for data visualization.
- Intermediate SQL skills (query building, data manipulation, table maintenance).
- Proven ability to analyze and summarize data to deliver actionable recommendations.
