Senior Staff Desktop Systems Engineer (Remote United States)

Dexcom is seeking a Senior Staff Desktop Systems Engineer to help define the technical direction for endpoint engineering across its global organization. This remote U.S. position focuses on designing secure, scalable, and reliable Windows and macOS endpoint environments that support corporate, research and development, and manufacturing teams.

Working within the Endpoint Engineering team, you will lead technical initiatives, establish engineering standards, collaborate across multiple technology groups, and provide expert guidance for enterprise endpoint management and security.

Job Overview

This senior engineering role is responsible for endpoint architecture, lifecycle management, automation, security, and enterprise device standards. You will oversee complex endpoint projects, influence technical direction across global teams, and serve as the primary escalation point for advanced engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define technical standards for Windows and macOS endpoints across corporate, R&D, and manufacturing environments.
  • Design secure and scalable endpoint management solutions using Intune, MECM, and Jamf.
  • Lead complex endpoint engineering projects from planning through implementation.
  • Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Manufacturing IT, and R&D teams to support compliance and validation requirements.
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for endpoint architecture and complex technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain endpoint standards, lifecycle processes, and engineering best practices.
  • Create and enforce system policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Provide technical mentorship through design reviews and engineering guidance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • Minimum 60+ months of related industry experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 96+ months with a Master’s degree, or 60+ months with a PhD.
  • Strong expertise supporting Windows and macOS endpoint environments.
  • Experience designing enterprise endpoint management solutions using Intune, MECM, and Jamf.
  • Advanced scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Experience reviewing and approving production scripts and automation solutions.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security, hardening, and configuration management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex endpoint issues.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor engineers without direct people management responsibilities.

Work Arrangement

This is a remote position based in the United States. Employees work from a home office and are not required to live within commuting distance of a Dexcom location. A hybrid work arrangement may be available for employees who live within approximately 75 miles (120 km) of an assigned Dexcom site. Travel is expected to be between 0% and 5%.

Compensation

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $141,800.00 to $236,400.00 USD. Compensation is based on qualifications and experience.
