Market Outreach Specialist – Residential Energy Programs (Remote Washington)

CLEAResult is seeking a Market Outreach Specialist to support a statewide residential rebate program by building and managing relationships with Trade Ally contractors. This role combines contractor engagement, quality assurance, outreach planning, and field support to help deliver successful energy efficiency projects.

The position is remote within Washington and is intended for candidates based in the Tacoma or Olympia area. Most work will be performed in the field with contractors and customers, with the remaining time spent working from a home office.

Job Overview

You will serve as the primary contact for Trade Ally contractors, helping them participate successfully in the rebate program while ensuring projects meet program standards. The role also includes contractor coaching, inspections, outreach strategy, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and support for statewide program goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboard and support Trade Ally contractors participating in the residential rebate program.
  • Develop strong working relationships with contractors and encourage ongoing program participation.
  • Provide guidance on program requirements and quality expectations.
  • Conduct project inspections to verify compliance with program standards.
  • Maintain documentation supporting quality assurance and program reporting.
  • Coach contractors whose performance does not meet program expectations and manage corrective actions when necessary.
  • Develop outreach strategies that support participation and program completion targets.
  • Adjust outreach activities based on program updates and performance results.
  • Build relationships with contractors, distributors, trade allies, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of new outreach tools and operational processes.
  • Stay informed about emerging energy efficiency technologies.
  • Coordinate events, presentations, and outreach activities with external stakeholders.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity reports while tracking progress toward program goals.

Required Qualifications

  • 36–60 months of relevant industry experience working with contractors, sales, or similar outreach roles.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM and other outreach management tools.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BPI certification or an equivalent credential.
  • Bilingual communication skills.

Compensation

The target annual salary for this position is $82,500.00. Final compensation is determined based on internal equity, market conditions, skills, certifications, education, and relevant experience.

Work Arrangement

This is a full-time remote position based in Washington State. Most working time will be spent in the field supporting contractors and customers, with the remainder performed from a home office. Some overnight travel is required. Candidates should be located in or near Tacoma or Olympia, Washington.
