Delivery Solutions Architect – Oil & Gas (Remote Texas)
Databricks is hiring a Delivery Solutions Architect to support strategic Oil & Gas customers using the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. Job Overview
The Delivery Solutions Architect will lead post-sale technical strategy and execution for complex Databricks customers, coordinating use-case delivery, product adoption, enablement, technical escalations, governance, and customer health across multiple internal and customer-facing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Solutions Architects to understand the complete use-case demand plan for prioritized customers.
- Lead post-technical-win account strategy and execution for the majority of Databricks use cases within strategic accounts.
- Act as the accountable technical leader for specific customers and use cases across multiple selling teams and internal stakeholders.
- Drive onboarding, enablement, production readiness, go-live, and healthy workload consumption for use cases customers have selected.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for technical issues or questions related to production and go-live status for agreed use cases.
- Coordinate Shared Services, User Education, Onboarding and Technical Services, Support, and expert technical resources when work falls outside your scope or expertise.
- Develop and execute a point of view for accelerating important use cases into production.
- Coordinate with Professional Services on engagement proposals and delivery planning.
- Navigate Databricks Product and Engineering teams for product innovations, private previews, and upgrade needs.
- Develop execution plans covering use cases moving from technical win to production.
- Develop enablement and user-growth plans.
- Drive product-adoption strategy and activities.
- Address operational needs including cloud cost control, tuning, and optimization.
- Support executive and operational governance across assigned accounts.
- Provide internal and external KPI updates covering usage, investment status, customer health, risks, product adoption, and use-case progression.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with accountability for technical project or program delivery within Data and AI.
- Ability to contribute meaningfully to technical discussions and design decisions with customers.
- Programming experience in Python, SQL, or Scala.
- Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting role.
- Understanding of solution architecture for distributed data systems.
- Ability to connect project deliverables with business value and customer outcomes.
- Experience with technical program or project management, including account, stakeholder, and resource-management responsibility.
- Experience resolving complex and important escalations with senior customer executives.
- Experience conducting open-ended discovery workshops.
- Experience creating strategic roadmaps.
- Experience conducting business analysis and managing delivery of complex programs or projects.
- Track record of exceeding quotas, goals, or comparable objective targets.
