Based in London, York Road, this full-time position plays a pivotal role in expanding Shell’s trading footprint across the MENA region within its Downstream and Renewables business unit.

Role Purpose

The position is central to supporting the EED Crude Trading strategy, which revolves around three core principles:

  • Defend: Protect and sustain trading value through Shell’s assets and contracts.

Working in close collaboration with Trading desks, Regional Business Development Managers, Team Leaders, and Finance partners, the MENA Business Development Manager ensures Shell continues to capture emerging opportunities across dynamic energy markets.

  • Strengthen cross-business relationships across Shell Energy, Upstream, Downstream, and Strategy divisions.
  • Lead project teams and obtain internal approvals, such as New Business Proposals and Group Investment Proposals.
  • Support the trading desks with on-the-ground insights, relationship building, and risk assessment.
  • Contribute to team learning by sharing insights and strategies across the BD and Trading community.
