About the Role
As General Counsel, you will lead the company’s legal, governance, and compliance functions while acting as a key strategic advisor to the executive team and board. You will play a critical role in supporting business growth, managing risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all operations.
This is a senior leadership position that blends legal oversight with strategic decision-making across real estate, energy, corporate transactions, and commercial agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Compliance
- Oversee corporate governance, board matters, and legal structure
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across corporate, environmental, and data privacy areas
- Develop and maintain internal legal policies and frameworks
Risk Management & Advisory
- Provide strategic legal advice to executives and senior leadership
- Manage legal risks, insurance coverage, and incident response processes
- Support decision-making on high-impact business initiatives
Real Estate & Infrastructure Development
- Lead legal strategy for land acquisition, zoning, and permitting
- Negotiate complex agreements including leases, joint ventures, and development contracts
- Oversee legal aspects of infrastructure and construction projects
Commercial Contracts & Customer Agreements
- Structure and negotiate large-scale commercial agreements, including service and lease contracts
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and operational standards
- Support customer onboarding and contract lifecycle management
Energy & Strategic Transactions
- Advise on energy procurement, utility agreements, and renewable energy projects
- Lead legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and financing activities
- Conduct due diligence and manage corporate transactions
Requirements / Skills
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active license to practice law in the U.S.
- 10+ years of legal experience, including senior leadership roles
- Strong expertise in corporate law, real estate, and commercial contracts
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure or data center projects preferred
- Knowledge of energy markets, utility agreements, or related sectors is a plus
- Proven ability to manage complex negotiations and high-value transactions
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance legal and commercial priorities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
