About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding partnerships with health plans and driving market access. You will work closely with senior leadership, including the CEO, to identify opportunities, build relationships, and close strategic deals.
This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, operational discipline, and strong communication skills to manage complex sales cycles and deliver measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline & Sales Management
- Build and manage a structured business development pipeline using CRM tools like Salesforce
- Track opportunities, engagement, and forecasts to support strategic planning
- Maintain visibility across all stages of the sales funnel
Strategic Partnerships & Engagement
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders within health plans and payer organizations
- Support leadership in engaging executive-level prospects
- Create tailored outreach strategies and materials for targeted accounts
Deal Execution & Market Expansion
- Drive opportunities from initial engagement through contract execution and launch
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure smooth deal progression
- Identify new opportunities to expand access through strategic partnerships
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with leadership, sales, and operational teams to align priorities
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and follow-up communications for stakeholders
- Maintain strong internal coordination to ensure efficient execution
Requirements / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field
- 5–8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or healthcare sales
- Experience working with health plans or navigating complex healthcare sales cycles
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce and pipeline management
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and prioritize effectively
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
