About the Role
As a Cloud Engineer on the Product Metrics team, you will design and operate large-scale systems responsible for collecting, processing, and serving metrics from customer environments. These systems handle massive data volumes and require high levels of reliability, accuracy, and performance.
You will work with modern cloud-native technologies and contribute to building a platform that supports real-time insights and critical business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Distributed Systems Development
- Design, build, and maintain scalable systems that process high-volume data streams
- Develop services using Golang and cloud-native architectures
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and availability
Data Platform Engineering
- Manage data pipelines handling trillions of records and real-time events
- Build systems that support analytics, dashboards, and internal billing processes
- Optimize data storage and retrieval for efficiency and accuracy
Cloud & Infrastructure Operations
- Deploy and manage services in Kubernetes environments
- Use infrastructure-as-code tools to manage cloud resources
- Monitor system performance and improve cost efficiency
Collaboration & Leadership
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to product roadmap decisions
- Mentor team members and support collaborative engineering practices
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Ownership & Reliability
- Participate in on-call rotations and maintain service uptime
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues
- Continuously improve system scalability and resilience
Requirements / Skills
- 5+ years of experience building scalable, distributed systems
- 2+ years of experience developing applications using Golang
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Strong understanding of data systems and high-throughput architectures
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with ClickHouse or similar analytics databases
- Familiarity with tools like Helm, ArgoCD, or Temporal
- Experience building Kubernetes operators or controllers
- Background in real-time analytics or event-driven systems
