About the Role
As an AI Automation Engineer, you will work directly within portfolio companies to identify inefficiencies and build automation solutions that improve operations across the business. From internal workflows to customer-facing systems, you will design and deploy automation that reduces manual effort and increases efficiency.
This is a hands-on role focused on execution—you will analyze, build, deploy, and continuously improve automation systems that deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Workflow Analysis & Automation Strategy
- Evaluate business processes across departments to identify automation opportunities
- Map workflows, diagnose inefficiencies, and prioritize high-impact improvements
- Develop automation roadmaps aligned with business goals
Automation Development & Deployment
- Build and implement automation using AI tools, no-code platforms, or custom solutions
- Design systems that improve operations across sales, support, reporting, and internal tools
- Ensure automation solutions are scalable, reliable, and easy to maintain
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with company leadership and stakeholders to define priorities
- Translate business needs into technical solutions
- Communicate impact, ROI, and system performance to non-technical teams
Continuous Improvement & Optimization
- Monitor automation performance and iterate for better outcomes
- Develop repeatable frameworks and best practices for automation across businesses
- Contribute to long-term AI adoption strategies within the organization
Requirements / Skills
- Proven experience building and deploying automation solutions in real business environments
- Strong understanding of automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, n8n) and when to use them effectively
- Solid programming and system design skills for production-level solutions
- Experience working with AI tools and automation workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and define clear solutions
- Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-driven mindset with the ability to deliver results independently
