About the Role

As a Senior Policy Manager (U.S.), you will lead policy strategy and advocacy efforts focused on AI governance, data privacy, and emerging technologies. You will engage with policymakers, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders to help shape legislation and ensure alignment between technical innovation and policy frameworks.

This is a high-impact role requiring strong policy expertise, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable policy insights.


Key Responsibilities

Policy Strategy & Advocacy

  • Develop and execute U.S. policy strategies related to AI, privacy, and data infrastructure
  • Monitor legislative developments and regulatory changes across federal and state levels
  • Build relationships with policymakers, government agencies, and industry stakeholders
  • Represent the organization in policy forums, working groups, and consultations

Regulatory Guidance & Compliance

  • Translate regulatory requirements into clear guidance for technical teams
  • Ensure alignment of products and frameworks with U.S. data protection laws
  • Develop policy briefs, position papers, and strategic recommendations

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to inform technical direction
  • Collaborate with research and education teams to create policy-focused content
  • Align U.S. policy strategy with global initiatives and organizational goals

Thought Leadership & Industry Presence

  • Publish articles, research, and policy insights
  • Speak at conferences and participate in public policy discussions
  • Strengthen the organization’s reputation as a leader in privacy-focused AI policy

Requirements / Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in U.S. technology policy or regulatory affairs
  • Strong understanding of legislative processes and policy frameworks
  • Proven experience in policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to bridge technical and policy perspectives effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interest in privacy, open-source technology, and AI governance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in law, public policy, computer science, or related field
  • Familiarity with privacy-preserving technologies and AI systems
  • Experience working with open-source communities
