The Role at a Glance
The Contract Administrator plays a vital role in supporting STERIS’s sales efforts by managing requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), and requests for quotations (RFQs). This position ensures that all contractual obligations align with corporate objectives, legal standards, and business needs while maintaining efficient workflows and strict adherence to deadlines.
This is a fully remote role, allowing professionals to work from anywhere within the continental U.S. during standard business hours.
Core Responsibilities
- Proposal & Contract Management
- Conduct thorough reviews of RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
- Ensure contractual obligations align with corporate and pre-negotiated standards.
- Collaborate with Legal, Sales, Service, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms.
- Workflow & Compliance Oversight
- Follow the RFP Standard of Work process, including scheduling calls, managing SharePoint folders, and tracking deliverables.
- Maintain a detailed system of agreement reviews with timelines and outcomes.
- Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
- Interface with internal teams across business units, credit, legal, and risk management.
- Directly support sales teams by communicating with customers when required.
- Strategic Business Support
- Provide input on business decisions to safeguard legal and corporate interests.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate contract management or negotiations.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and Adobe.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-first mindset with proven leadership and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with STERIS/Amsco product lines (preferred).
