A Role That Shapes Client Relationships
The Investment Advisor Assistant plays a central role in ensuring clients receive the highest level of service and support. This position is ideal for someone who values trust, precision, and teamwork. Every day brings opportunities to:
- Support Investment Advisors and branch operations with administrative tasks
- Handle client requests, including money transfers, account updates, and technology guidance
- Schedule and prepare for client meetings
- Coordinate marketing initiatives such as website updates, social media, client events, and recognition programs.
- Maintain organized client files and databases for smooth operations
This role is about more than administration. It is about creating meaningful connections, building confidence, and helping clients feel secure about their financial future.
How You Will Contribute to Success
Your work will touch every aspect of client support and branch efficiency. Some key responsibilities include:
- Generating reports and processing account-related documents
- Providing team members with technology assistance and updates on policy changes
- Following compliance guidelines to safeguard client assets and confidentiality
- Assisting with tailored investment needs and financial advice
- Partnering with colleagues across BMO and within the community to strengthen client relationships
Skills and Experience That Make a Difference
This opportunity is designed for individuals who are motivated to learn, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in the financial services industry.
Preferred qualifications include
- 1–2 years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of wealth management services such as client accounts, trust services, and transfers
- Familiarity with investment products, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and managed portfolios
- Comfort with industry software and financial technology applications
Licensing and certifications
- Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook exam (to be completed within 18 months of hire)
- Successful completion of the BMO NB Investment Representative Licensing Program (30 days)
