AEO and GEO Marketing Manager

About the Opportunity

Stripe is hiring an AEO and GEO Marketing Manager to lead its strategy for Answer Engine Optimization, Generative Engine Optimization, and AI-driven search acquisition.

The role is available remotely in the United States and Canada, subject to Stripe’s remote-location policy. Stripe defines a remote location as being at least 35 miles (56 kilometers) from one of its offices. Office-based options are also available in Toronto, Atlanta, and Chicago.

What You’ll Do

• Lead growth and user-acquisition strategy for Stripe’s Answer Engine Optimization channel.
• Improve Stripe.com so AI agents can efficiently access information and take action on behalf of users.
• Develop and test strategies for Generative Engine Optimization, Answer Engine Optimization, and LLM search visibility.
• Integrate AI capabilities to improve the efficiency and performance of search and answer-engine channels.
• Build and execute a roadmap of experiments designed to improve AI-search acquisition.
• Deliver regular performance reporting and identify new channel-growth opportunities.
• Partner closely with Growth Marketing, Content Marketing, Engineering, and Analytics.
• Use user-intent analysis and performance data to prioritize work that drives measurable growth.

Required Experience

Candidates need at least five years of experience creating and executing SEO strategies, including direct experience with Answer Engine Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization.

The role also requires technical experience making websites SEO- and AEO-friendly, along with experience using analytics and reporting tools such as Tableau, Looker, Adobe Analytics, or Google Analytics.

Search, Data, and Technical Skills

Candidates should understand user intent analysis and be able to translate search and performance data into measurable growth decisions.

Experience leading cross-functional project roadmaps involving engineering and content teams is also required.

Preferred Background

Additional useful experience includes Natural Language Processing, vector search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, B2B SaaS search optimization, fintech or payments, and SQL.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred, although Stripe accepts four additional years of relevant professional experience as an alternative.

Remote Work and Location

This position is available remotely in the United States and Canada.

Stripe defines a remote location as one that is at least 35 miles (56 kilometers) from a Stripe office. Remote-assigned employees are expected to work primarily from home rather than from a Stripe office.

Candidates who are office-assigned are expected to spend at least 50% of their time each month in their local office or with users, so WorkinVirtual should preserve the distinction between the fully remote arrangement and Stripe’s office-based arrangement.

Compensation

The published U.S. base salary range for this role is $143,400 to $215,200 USD per year.

This range applies to U.S.-based candidates. Candidates outside the U.S., including Canada, may request the salary range applicable to their location during the interview process.

Additional compensation may include equity, company bonus, or other applicable incentive compensation.
