Role Overview

The Shopper Marketing Manager role focuses on delivering exceptional execution across key strategic grocery customers, specifically Asda and Morrisons. The position holds responsibility for managing and implementing shopper marketing strategies across the Baby and Beverages categories. Through close collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams, the role ensures consistent, data-driven, and impactful brand delivery across all customer touchpoints.

Core Responsibilities

Shopper Analytics and Performance Insight

The role involves analyzing shopper data and historical activations to generate actionable insights that inform customer-specific campaign plans. In addition, the manager oversees monthly budget forecasting by category and adjusts spending based on performance data. Ownership of campaign tracking, performance measurement, and target delivery also forms a key part of this responsibility.

Customer Collaboration and Engagement

Building strong day-to-day relationships with customer contacts remains essential. The role ensures Danone is positioned as the supplier of choice by understanding best-in-class ways of working and consistently delivering against agreed expectations: clear communication and trust-based engagement drive long-term customer partnerships.

Strategic Project Management

Working closely with Sales and the Marketing ICX team, the manager ensures brand messages remain aligned and impactful across all customer touchpoints. Furthermore, the role leads the planning and execution of tailored shopper plans within defined budgets, evaluating performance and refining approaches when needed.

The position also holds responsibility for the successful execution of new product development launches within assigned customers. Tracking key performance indicators such as activation ROI, shopper conversion, and customer touchpoints is essential to delivering effective campaigns across multiple subchannels, including main estate, convenience, and online platforms.

Team Engagement and Development

As an active member of the Shopper team, the manager supports delivery by clearly planning, defining outcomes, and fostering strong engagement with the project’s purpose. Coaching, collaboration, and ongoing support help address daily challenges while maintaining high performance standards.
