You will lead SEO, Generative Engine Optimization, Answer Engine Optimization, technical SEO, AI citation visibility, content architecture, large-scale AI-assisted content production, and performance measurement with direct responsibility for high-intent traffic and marketing-qualified lead outcomes.
Job Overview
The SEO/AEO Lead will independently design and execute Brightwheel’s full-stack organic growth program across traditional search and emerging AI discovery surfaces including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, and other large-language-model experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute SEO, GEO, and AEO strategy across Brightwheel’s website and content channels.
- Drive high-intent organic traffic and contribute directly to marketing-qualified lead targets.
- Manage large-scale content production with a target of more than 2,000 pages per month using AI-powered workflows.
- Focus scaled content on high-intent audiences including early childhood education directors, franchise operators, and childcare providers.

- Develop and maintain a content freshness and refresh program alongside new content production.
- Own AI citation and visibility tracking across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, and other LLM-based discovery surfaces.
- Monitor metrics including Visibility Score, Share of Voice, citation volume, and citation share by page and workstream.
- Benchmark Brightwheel’s AI-search visibility against competitors.
- Implement technical AEO foundations including structured data, schema markup, entity optimization, FAQ markup, llms.txt, and other machine-readability improvements.
- Design and optimize comparison, pricing, and decision-oriented content.
- Adapt landing experiences as AI referral traffic patterns evolve.
- Monitor Google core updates and broader AI-search changes and adjust strategy accordingly.
- Manage risks related to AI Overview cannibalization, content quality, content-farm patterns, and E-E-A-T as content production scales.
- Lead cross-functional planning sessions with Content, Product, and Analytics teams.
- Identify and lead new SEO, GEO, and AEO initiatives from concept through launch.
- Build recurring performance reporting that connects organic-search activity with pipeline and revenue.
- Present strategic recommendations and scorecard-style reviews to senior stakeholders.
- Coach internal team members on SEO and AI-search best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of SEO experience, ideally within B2B SaaS or a high-growth consumer technology environment.

- Deep expertise in technical SEO.
- Deep expertise in content strategy.
- Strong knowledge of AEO and GEO, including AI-search and LLM citation optimization.

- Experience implementing structured data and schema markup.
- Experience with entity optimization and emerging machine-readable standards such as llms.txt.
- Experience managing high-volume content-production workflows, including AI-assisted content at scale.
