About the Role
As Tech Lead for Android, you will take ownership of core product features and drive the technical direction of the Android application. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to build intuitive, high-performance experiences for millions of users.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will contribute to architecture decisions, mentor team members, and ensure high-quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Ownership
- Lead development of key features within the Android application
- Deliver high-quality, scalable, and user-focused mobile experiences
- Take ownership of feature releases and ensure reliability
Technical Leadership
- Shape the technical direction of the Android team
- Review code, mentor engineers, and support team growth
- Maintain and improve performance and reliability metrics
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams
- Contribute to product decisions and user experience improvements
- Participate in discussions that shape product strategy
Quality & Performance
- Ensure high code quality through testing and best practices
- Handle critical issues and optimize app performance
- Support QA processes with builds and release cycles
Requirements / Skills
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong experience building Android applications
- Expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development tools
- Solid understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and scalable app design
- Experience with Jetpack components, navigation, and UI frameworks
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and dependency injection (e.g., Dagger)
- Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and modern UI frameworks
- Experience with testing frameworks and performance optimization
- Contributions to open-source Android projects
- Exposure to iOS, web, or backend technologies
