About the Role

As a Design Engineer, you will work on Vercel’s top-of-funnel experiences, including marketing pages, events, and the public-facing website. This role focuses on combining creative design with technical implementation to deliver seamless, engaging user journeys.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, marketing, and engineering to create scalable systems and improve performance, accessibility, and user experience across all web properties.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance high-quality frontend experiences using modern frameworks
  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to deliver visually polished web interfaces
  • Build modular, scalable systems for marketing and growth initiatives
  • Optimize performance, accessibility, and Core Web Vitals
  • Contribute to design systems and ensure consistency across web platforms
  • Work with CMS, analytics tools, and integrations to improve workflows
  • Lead improvements in SEO, experimentation, and personalization strategies
  • Mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements / Skills

  • Strong experience in frontend development and application design
  • Proficiency with Next.js and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience with CMS platforms such as Payload or Contentful
  • Familiarity with analytics tools like Amplitude or Heap
  • Understanding of SEO, performance optimization, and growth experimentation
  • Knowledge of design tools such as Figma
  • Strong attention to detail in UI/UX, accessibility, and performance
  • Experience working in SaaS or technology-driven environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
