About the Role
As Chief Risk Officer, you will oversee the company’s global risk management strategy, ensuring strong governance, compliance, and operational integrity. This role involves designing and implementing enterprise-wide risk frameworks while working closely with executive leadership.
You will operate independently to assess risks, guide decision-making, and ensure the company maintains a strong and compliant risk posture as it scales globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and build the company’s enterprise risk management framework
- Define and implement risk governance policies, controls, and procedures
- Establish and manage the organization’s risk appetite framework
- Oversee risk monitoring, reporting, and compliance across global operations
- Engage with regulators and external stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
- Partner with executive teams including Legal, Compliance, and Finance
- Build and lead a high-performing global risk team
- Ensure alignment with regulatory standards and industry best practices
Requirements / Skills
- 15+ years of experience in risk leadership within fintech, financial services, or regulated industries
- Proven experience building or transforming risk management frameworks
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk, governance, and compliance
- Experience working in multi-jurisdiction regulatory environments
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth organizations
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Deep knowledge of financial and operational risk areas
