As a Tech Lead, Android Core Product, you will help shape the future of Speechify’s Android platform while leading major product initiatives and contributing to high-impact user experiences.
You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to develop scalable Android features, improve app reliability, optimize performance, and guide technical direction across the Android ecosystem.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of core Android product features
- Build and maintain scalable Android architecture
- Improve app performance, reliability, and release quality
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams
- Review pull requests and mentor engineering teammates
- Support feature releases and QA deployment workflows
- Handle production issues and technical problem-solving
- Contribute to long-term Android engineering strategy
- Improve UI/UX experiences across the application
- Help shape engineering standards and development practices
✅ Requirements & Skills
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong Android development expertise
- Experience building or contributing to Android applications
- Deep knowledge of:
- Kotlin
- Kotlin Coroutines
- Kotlin Flow
- MVVM Architecture
- Clean Architecture
- Jetpack Navigation
- Dagger 2
- Jetpack Compose
- Experience with Android testing frameworks and JUnit
- Strong understanding of Android UI/UX best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Product-focused and user-centered problem-solving mindset
Nice to Have
- Open-source Android project contributions
