About the Role
As Director of Sales – US Commercial Space, you will lead revenue growth and market expansion across commercial and government space sectors. You will be responsible for building and executing sales strategies, developing pipelines, and driving adoption of Kepler’s services.
This is a senior leadership role requiring both strategic thinking and direct execution in a rapidly growing and competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Lead and scale commercial sales efforts across the U.S. space market
- Own revenue targets, pipeline development, forecasting, and execution
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new and existing services
Customer & Market Engagement
- Build and manage relationships with key customers and partners
- Represent the company at industry events and client engagements
- Act as the voice of the customer, translating needs into business strategies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to align offerings with market demand
- Provide market insights to influence product development and roadmap decisions
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful deal execution
Business Development & Proposals
- Lead proposal development, RFP responses, and commercial negotiations
- Evaluate opportunities and guide strategic decision-making
- Identify emerging trends and growth opportunities in the space industry
Requirements / Skills
- 10+ years of experience in sales or commercial leadership roles
- Background in space, aerospace, or related technology sectors
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and scaling sales operations
- Experience selling to both commercial and government clients
- Strong understanding of satellite communications or space systems
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD)
- Experience launching new products or services in tech or telecom sectors
- Background in startup or high-growth environments
