Position Overview
Abbott is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist with strong technical expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks. This role requires hands-on experience in threat modeling, penetration testing, and security risk assessments, as well as familiarity with MDS2 documentation and SBOM publishing. The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, thriving in collaborative team settings while addressing critical cybersecurity needs.

- Partnerships & Strategic Communications
- Build relationships across teams to ensure effective cyber risk management.
- Clearly communicate technical risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Digital Product Design & Management
- Ensure cybersecurity is embedded in product development lifecycles.
- Provide input that aligns with industry best practices and standards.
- Organizational Change Management
- Promote secure practices across teams and encourage adoption of new security standards.
- Help drive awareness around risk management in software development and deployment.
Candidate Profile
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, or CEH.
- At least 5 to 10 years of experience in product cybersecurity or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity domains, including threat modeling, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
