What You’ll Do:
- Interpret and analyze complex healthcare data from various sources to pinpoint key trends and their business impact.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot sophisticated SQL scripts and reports, as well as utilize Microsoft Excel and other analytics tools.
- Contribute significantly to large-scale projects, taking ownership and proactively seeking to understand the business value of your tasks.
- Identify and resolve data irregularities through thorough root-cause analysis, presenting your findings and proposed solutions to leadership.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate data-driven insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Independently gather requirements from customers and business partners, validating results and incorporating feedback.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior analysts.
What You’ll Bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, or finance (or equivalent experience). A Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience working with large databases, data verification, and data management, or 2+ years of IT experience. Healthcare analytics experience is a significant plus.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and other querying languages. Familiarity with programmatic coding languages like Python and R is preferred.
- Knowledge of statistical, analytical, and data mining techniques, including data modeling, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis.
- Familiarity with modern business intelligence and visualization tools, particularly Microsoft PowerBI.
- Experience in areas such as emerging trend analysis, financial modeling, claims pricing, contract/network analysis, and ROI evaluation is advantageous.
- Familiarity with claims payment, utilization management, provider/vendor contracts, and risk adjustment for government-sponsored healthcare is desired.
