Position Overview

The Engineer, Maintenance will oversee the installation, repair, testing, and ongoing maintenance of mechanical stationary and rotating equipment within the Wireline Services Division. This role ensures all operations conform to ADNOC Drilling regulations and international engineering standards while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency. The engineer will also support shutdown maintenance planning and participate in critical fault diagnosis and repair activities.

Main Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance and Planning

  • Assist in preparing predictive, preventive, modification, and major maintenance schedules based on equipment performance and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Supervise maintenance execution, preparing detailed checklists and estimating manpower and skill requirements.
  • Monitor major maintenance work, advising on spare part replacement, modifications, or refurbishment.
  • Participate in testing and start-up of equipment following maintenance.

Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution

  • Guide chronic equipment problems and recommend major repairs or spare replacements.
  • Conduct troubleshooting of repeated failures, implementing repair and testing procedures.
  • Ensure all mechanical maintenance activities comply with recognized engineering standards and ADNOC Drilling HSE practices.

Emergency Response and Coordination

  • Coordinate activities of contracted craftsmen and operations personnel during shutdowns or emergency maintenance.
  • Allocate resources, provide technical guidance, and verify work progress.
  • Liaise with other support disciplines and workshops for multi-disciplinary maintenance or machine shop requirements.

Candidate Profile

Education Requirements:

  • B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of major mechanical and rotating equipment in oil, gas, petrochemical, or power plants.
  • Strong knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to engineering operations.
