Unum, a Fortune 500 employee benefits provider, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer with z/OS expertise, particularly in print technologies. This remote position offers a competitive salary range of $89,400 to $183,500, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

This role focuses on installing, customizing, and maintaining print-related products and archive tools within the z/OS environment. You’ll also support the z/OS operating system itself, working with both IBM and non-IBM software. Collaboration with teams across the organization is essential.
What You’ll Do:
- Install and customize IBM and third-party software using z/OSMF or vendor-specific installation methods.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members.
- Research and evaluate new software products.
- Ensure 24/7/365 business reliability, availability, and scalability.
- Support capacity planning and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Troubleshoot problems and communicate effectively with technical and business personnel.
What You’ll Need:
- 10+ years of experience with the z/OS operating system and its components.
- 5+ years of experience working with print and print archive tools (e.g., VPS, CA-VIEW, Mobius, Document Direct, Content Cloud, CA-SPOOL).
- Strong knowledge of z/Enterprise server technology, systems analysis, and systems development standards.
- Advanced knowledge of z/OS operating system components (SYSPLEX, CICS/TS, DB2, TSO, JES2).
- Proficiency in JCL and REXX.
- Experience with software components like SMPE, HCD/IODF, JES2, VTAM, TCP/IP, TSO/ISPF, SYNCSORT, SDSF, SMF, WLM, RACF, WebSphere MQ, and z/OSMF.
- 10+ years of experience in mainframe OEM product installation and management.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and RACF security.
