Stamford, CT (Remote) – United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Systems Analyst – Corporate Apps to join our dynamic IT team. This is a remote position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
About the Role:
The Sr. Systems Analyst plays a critical role in analyzing business needs and translating them into effective technology solutions. With a primary focus on Infor FSM Cloudsuite tools, this individual will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of system enhancements. This role requires strong collaboration with various business units and IT stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for system enhancements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and sustainable solutions utilizing Infor OS application and data tools (IPA, Infor ION, LPL, Infor OS Data Fabric).
- Oversee the development and implementation of system enhancements, working with both internal and external resources.
- Provide technical expertise and support to users on a range of topics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, performing root cause analysis and engaging IT resources as needed.
- Manage integrations with external vendors, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
- Conduct thorough testing of new and modified application functionality to meet business and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including support knowledge base articles, data flow diagrams, and system architecture documents.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to support project goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience with Infor OS application and data tools (IPA, Infor ION, LPL, Infor OS Data Fabric).
- Strong understanding of application programming frameworks (APIs, JSON, XML) and database systems (SQL Server, DB2).
- Proven ability to interact effectively with both IT and business stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on documentation.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with SQL programming.
