Applied Materials, a global leader in semiconductor and display manufacturing solutions, is hiring a Senior Project Manager IV for a remote position within the United States. This role offers a salary range of $120,000 to $165,000 annually.
About the Opportunity
As a Senior Technical Project Manager within Applied Materials’ Automation Product Group, you will be pivotal in the successful execution of their deployments. This role involves managing large-scale technical projects, often encompassing multiple applications within the semiconductor CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) environment. Beyond individual project leadership, the Senior PM will collaborate closely with the PMO, mentor less experienced Project Managers, and contribute to ensuring high-quality project delivery that is on time, within budget, and meets all requirements across the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhering to and promoting PMO standards and best practices.
- Mentoring other Project Managers on PMBOK principles.
- Collaborating with sales and technical teams to develop project proposals during the sales cycle.
- Leading project teams that include multiple technical project leads.
- Working closely with customer project managers to guarantee quality delivery.
Required Skills and Experience:
- PMP Certification is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of applications within the semiconductor CIM environment, such as MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), MCS (Material Control Systems), APC (Advanced Process Control), Recipe Management, and Equipment Automation.
- Expertise in one or more of the aforementioned CIM applications.
- Proficiency in using common project management software, such as MS Project.
- Demonstrated skills in quality practices, including Six Sigma, Kaizen, 8D, and Kepner-Tregoe.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Experience managing project budgets.
- A strong understanding of customer KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and business unit KPIs, and the impact of projects on these metrics.
- Proven ability to manage multiple related teams, set organizational priorities, and allocate resources effectively.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, primarily domestic with occasional international travel, depending on project needs.
