About the Opportunity
VXI Global Solutions is hiring a Patient Care Advocate to help patients access and manage prescription-medication benefits through a Prescription Payment Plan.
This is a full-time remote customer-service role focused on patient enrollment, insurance eligibility, medication coverage, cost-sharing, prescription fulfillment, renewals, and coordination with healthcare providers and pharmacies.
What You’ll Do
- Help patients enroll in the prescription-payment program and verify required personal and insurance information.
- Confirm patient eligibility and prescription coverage.
- Support approval processes for eligible medications.
- Help reduce patient out-of-pocket costs through applicable program benefits, copayments, coinsurance, and available copay assistance.
- Coordinate with participating pharmacies so program benefits are applied correctly during prescription fulfillment.
- Support prescription refills and continued program eligibility.
- Guide patients through annual program renewals and explain relevant coverage or formulary updates.
- Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, insurance organizations, and pharmacies to resolve issues and support access to medication.
Required Background
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Candidates must have previous experience in healthcare, insurance, customer service, or a related environment. Experience with prescription-assistance programs is considered an advantage.
Customer Service Skills
The role requires strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, comfort navigating complex healthcare processes, and the ability to work collaboratively while providing empathetic patient support.
Remote Work Requirements
Candidates need a private, quiet, distraction-free workspace with a closing door and an appropriate desk and chair setup.
A reliable high-speed internet connection is required, with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed.
Employees should also be comfortable learning new systems, working independently, managing time effectively, and adapting to changing procedures and technology.
Compensation
The published pay rate is $16.50 USD per hour.
