Facility Security Officer

About the Opportunity

Cribl is hiring a Facility Security Officer to build and manage its industrial security program as the company expands its U.S. federal business.

This is a remote position within the United States. The role serves as Cribl’s appointed Facility Security Officer of record and focuses on facility clearance, personnel security, regulatory compliance, government-security processes, and support for cleared work.

What You’ll Do

• Manage Facility Clearance sponsorship and maintenance through NISS.
• Handle SF-328 filings, Key Management Personnel designations, changed conditions, and FOCI reporting.
• Manage cleared-personnel processes through DISS and NBIS, including investigations, continuous vetting, transfers, debriefings, and terminations.
• Guide applicants through eApp and maintain accurate personnel-security records.
• Deliver required security briefings covering onboarding, insider threat, foreign travel, and related topics.
• Review and maintain DD Form 254 documentation and process visit authorizations.
• Advise Contracts and Legal on government-security requirements.
• Conduct annual self-inspections and prepare for DCSA Security Reviews.
• Serve as Cribl’s primary point of contact with DCSA.
• Partner with Workplace and Facilities on access control, visitor management, secure areas, and facility-security controls.
• Establish and maintain security policies, procedures, records, and training programs.

Required Experience

Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold an active U.S. Government Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance.

The role requires at least seven years of industrial-security or personnel-security experience, including at least three years serving as an appointed Facility Security Officer or Assistant Facility Security Officer at a cleared contractor.

Government Security and Compliance Expertise

Candidates should have working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual.

Hands-on experience with DISS/NBIS, NISS, eApp, Facility Clearance processing, SF-328 and FOCI, DD Form 254s, self-inspections, and DCSA Security Reviews is required.

Preferred Background

Experience in commercial software, SaaS, cloud, or technology environments is preferred.

SPēD or NCMS ISP certification is also valuable, along with familiarity with ITPSO responsibilities, FedRAMP, CMMC, DFARS, CUI requirements, or observability technologies.

Remote Work

This role is remote within the United States. Because Cribl is a distributed company operating across multiple time zones, occasional work outside standard business hours may be required.

Compensation

The published base salary range is $108,000 to $169,000 USD per year.

Non-sales roles are eligible for the Cribl Corporate Bonus Program. Benefits and equity may also be provided separately.
