Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Enterprise Solutions (Europe)

Job Overview

The Senior Forward Deployed Engineer will combine hands-on full-stack engineering with direct enterprise customer engagement, building prototypes that validate strategic opportunities, accelerate sales cycles, inform product development, and turn customer requirements into working technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deliver working prototypes for strategic enterprise opportunities.
• Use prototypes to accelerate sales cycles and reduce technical uncertainty around important deals.
• Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand requirements, workflows, and technical environments.
• Act as a technical bridge between customer needs and Typeform’s product capabilities.
• Translate enterprise requirements into clear technical specifications.
• Turn customer requirements and field observations into actionable product insights.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to incorporate field learnings into the product roadmap.
• Validate customer use cases for new product initiatives through hands-on prototyping and iteration.
• Identify reusable technical patterns across customer engagements.
• Help turn successful prototype concepts into scalable product capabilities.
• Build relationships across Sales, Product, Engineering, and customer organizations.
• Support new product launches through customer validation and technical engagement.
• Help establish scalable Forward Deployed Engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

• Strong full-stack software engineering experience.
• Ability to build and ship working solutions quickly.
• Solid experience designing and working with APIs.
• Experience integrating systems and services.
• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of modern application architecture.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers and navigating their technical requirements.
• Strong ownership and ability to independently take projects from ambiguity through delivery.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and business audiences.
• Ability to translate between customer, business, and engineering stakeholders.
• Customer-focused mindset and genuine curiosity about customer problems and workflows.

• Previous Forward Deployed Engineering experience.
• Previous Solutions Engineering or similar customer-facing technical experience.

• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Enterprise Prototyping

The role also involves identifying patterns across these customer-specific engagements that can be converted into reusable or productized capabilities.

Product & Go-to-Market Collaboration

The Forward Deployed Engineering team operates between Typeform’s go-to-market and product organizations. You will partner closely with Sales on strategic enterprise opportunities while working with Product and Engineering to ensure customer insights influence future product development.

This requires both technical execution and the ability to communicate clearly with business, customer, product, and engineering stakeholders.
