Senior Director, Security Governance

About the Opportunity

ZoomInfo is hiring a Senior Director of Security Governance to lead and mature its enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance function.

This is a full-time position available remotely within Ireland, with Dublin also listed as a location option. The role reports directly to ZoomInfo’s Chief Information Security Officer and combines security governance, enterprise risk management, compliance, third-party risk, AI governance and senior-team leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Define and execute ZoomInfo’s enterprise GRC strategy and roadmap.
• Lead governance, risk and compliance programs across the organization.
• Design and maintain the enterprise risk register and work with business leaders to identify, quantify and mitigate risk.
• Manage continuous compliance against frameworks including ISO 42001, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 27017, SOC 2 and CIS Controls.
• Build and manage a third-party risk management program covering vendor maturity and security-contract review.
• Support customer trust and security-related sales processes.
• Use agentic AI and GRC platforms such as ServiceNow GRC and Vanta to automate workflows, reporting and executive dashboards.
• Serve as a key liaison between Security, Legal, Product and executive leadership.
• Develop security guardrails that support responsible AI innovation while managing enterprise risk.
• Build and lead a security governance team distributed across the United States and India.

Required Experience

Candidates need at least ten years of experience in information security or Governance, Risk and Compliance, including at least five years in a senior leadership position.

The role requires demonstrated experience scaling security teams, maturing security programs and developing security-by-design cultures.

Security and Compliance Expertise

Strong knowledge of information-security risk frameworks and compliance standards is required, including the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and standards such as ISO and SOC 2.

The successful candidate should be able to translate complex technical and security risks into clear business context for executives and customers.

AI and Automation

AI governance is an important component of this position. The Senior Director will help define guardrails for safe AI innovation and use AI-enabled and GRC technologies to automate compliance processes, metrics and reporting.

Education and Certifications

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. A master’s degree or PhD is preferred.

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or CISA are strongly preferred.
