Professional Services Consultant II – Conversational AI Design (US Remote)

Job Overview

As a Professional Services Consultant, you will design the user experience of AI-powered Virtual Agents and lead client engagements from solution design through deployment. The position also includes responsibility for conversation quality, copywriting, prototypes, stakeholder management, team processes, and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build complex, high-impact Virtual Agents using Vonage AI’s no-code Studio.
• Lead solution design for challenging customer use cases across voice and text channels.
• Collaborate with product, solutions, and customer applications teams to create scalable conversational experiences.
• Own the quality and consistency of conversation scripts while aligning experiences with customer brand voice and business objectives.
• Lead copywriting for new dialogue flows and adapt existing materials such as FAQs and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain content quality standards across conversational experiences.
• Create and review prototypes, mockups, and conversation-flow diagrams for internal and customer stakeholders.
• Partner with engineering and technical teams to define conversation scope, anticipate user behavior, and resolve complex design challenges.
• Identify and implement process improvements that increase delivery efficiency, quality, and predictability.
• Provide feedback, guidance, and mentorship to other Conversation Designers.
• Manage multiple complex projects and senior stakeholders while maintaining a strategic view of customer and project objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Conversation Design or a closely related field.
• Native-level English proficiency in both spoken and written communication.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and influence within a global remote team.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex workflows and systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering and publishing multiple Virtual Agents is considered a strong advantage.
• Understanding of human-machine interaction principles is an advantage.
• Previous experience designing AI-driven conversational systems is considered a significant advantage.
