Johnson & Johnson, a global leader in healthcare innovation, is seeking a Software Test Engineer for its Enabling Tech R&D team. This fully remote role offers a competitive salary (estimated $90,000+ based on experience) and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge medical technology.
About the Role
As a Software Test Engineer, you will ensure the highest quality of software systems for medical devices, including Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). You’ll collaborate with agile teams, define test strategies, and ensure compliance with FDA, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and other regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Develop and execute test cases to meet software requirements
✔ Ensure compliance with medical device regulations
✔ Work with C++, C#, Python, and test management tools (Polarion, JIRA, JAMA)
✔ Review and refine software architecture and design
✔ Support Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
Qualifications & Skills
✅ Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred)
✅ 3+ years in software testing (medical device experience a plus)
✅ Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA Part 11
✅ Experience with SaMD (strongly preferred)
✅ Strong problem-solving and communication skills
