About the Role
As a Senior Engineering Manager (Core Media & Intelligence), you will lead a team building advanced AI-driven applications that enhance how users interact with content. You will oversee engineering execution, define technical direction, and partner with product teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
This role focuses on building intelligent systems powered by AI, including large language models (LLMs), search, and automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage a team of 12–20 engineers, including senior engineers and managers
- Drive team performance, career development, and technical excellence
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability
Technical Strategy & Execution
- Define and guide the technical direction of AI-powered products
- Oversee architecture decisions and ensure scalable, high-quality systems
- Balance short-term delivery goals with long-term technical improvements
AI & Product Innovation
- Lead the development of AI-driven applications, including LLM-based features and intelligent systems
- Build solutions involving search, retrieval, automation, and computer vision
- Drive adoption of AI tools to improve engineering productivity
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to define roadmaps
- Align engineering efforts with business objectives and customer needs
- Lead cross-team initiatives and ensure successful delivery
Operational Excellence
- Manage Agile development processes including planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Ensure high standards for software quality, reliability, and performance
- Oversee delivery of critical, high-visibility projects
Requirements / Skills
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- 8+ years of experience managing engineering teams
- Experience managing large teams and engineering managers
- Strong background in AI/ML systems and modern software architecture
- Experience building or integrating AI-powered products
- Expertise in distributed systems and scalable backend architectures
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Experience working in Agile development environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building AI agents or LLM-based applications
- Strong backend engineering experience with large-scale systems
- Experience working with data pipelines and model serving infrastructure
- Ability to evaluate AI technologies and guide build vs. buy decisions
