About the Role
As an Accounting Expert, you will support the development of AI models by providing high-quality financial data, insights, and annotations. You will work closely with technical teams to help train AI systems in understanding corporate accounting, financial reporting, and compliance frameworks.
This role combines accounting expertise with AI innovation, making it a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and technology.
Key Responsibilities
AI Training & Data Annotation
- Provide accurate annotations and labeled data for AI model training
- Work with proprietary tools to input financial data and insights
- Support development of accounting-focused AI capabilities
Accounting Expertise & Analysis
- Solve complex accounting problems related to financial reporting and GAAP
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs and provide detailed feedback
- Contribute domain knowledge in areas like consolidation, internal controls, and compliance
Collaboration & Tool Improvement
- Work closely with engineering teams to improve annotation tools
- Help refine processes and workflows for better model performance
- Participate in testing and validating AI-driven solutions
Research & Continuous Learning
- Interpret and execute evolving project instructions
- Stay updated on accounting standards and best practices
- Contribute insights that improve AI understanding of financial systems
Requirements / Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Big 4 accounting (audit/assurance) or equivalent corporate accounting roles
- CPA license or advanced degree (Master’s/PhD in Accounting)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and corporate accounting practices
- Experience with SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) and accounting standards
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Big 4 or senior accounting roles
- Experience with SOX compliance, consolidations, or technical accounting
- Background in teaching, publishing, or research in accounting
- Interest in AI, data annotation, or emerging technologies
