FREEPORT, FL – The United States Postal Service (USPS) is actively seeking motivated individuals to join their team as Rural Carrier Associates (RCAs) in Freeport, Florida. This is a fantastic opportunity to serve your community while earning $20.38 per hour.
The USPS is looking for reliable and dedicated individuals to case, deliver, and collect mail along a designated rural route. As an RCA, you’ll play a vital role in connecting communities and providing essential services to postal customers. Your responsibilities will include sorting mail, delivering packages, selling stamps and money orders, and ensuring the secure handling of all mail items.

Requirements:
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or citizens of American Samoa or other U.S. territories.
- A valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record are mandatory.
- You must have at least two years of unsupervised driving experience with passenger cars or larger vehicles in the U.S. or its territories, or on U.S. military installations worldwide.
- A personal vehicle suitable for mail delivery is required for this position.
- Candidates must be able to communicate in and understand English.
- Successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Applicants must successfully complete the Virtual Entry Assessment – MC (474).
Important Information:
- The job requires physical stamina, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and the ability to handle mail containers weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Work hours will vary and are typically on an as-needed basis to cover regular carrier absences, with Saturdays being a common workday.
- Current career Postal Service employees are not eligible to apply for this position.
