Position Overview

The Product Manager / Senior Product Manager will lead Agile programs to deliver high-impact business solutions aligned with organizational goals. This role requires translating complex initiatives into actionable features and ensuring customer and stakeholder value is delivered. The position emphasizes strong collaboration with Product Owners, Architects, and leadership across the organization to provide solutions that drive actionable outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

Agile Program Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead Agile Release Trains (ARTs) by prioritizing, sequencing, and refining program features into actionable user stories.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to define feature acceptance criteria and ensure completion aligns with business objectives.
  • Manage program backlog and Kanban boards to maintain feature readiness and delivery.

Solution Design & Business Alignment

  • Partner with IT Solution Architects, Business Architects, and Epic Owners to translate epics into features within the program roadmap.
  • Understand customer and stakeholder needs, aligning solutions with portfolio strategy and organizational priorities.
  • Influence technological decisions in collaboration with system and solutions technology teams to ensure efficient product delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Product Managers across programs to assess interdependencies, prioritize initiatives, and coordinate delivery of integrated solutions.
  • Communicate progress, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Contribute to program planning, including presenting business intent, feature roadmap, and key milestones.

Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead program increment demos to evaluate delivered business value and adapt strategies for subsequent increments.
  • Provide feedback to Epic Owners to refine and enhance existing and new epics.
  • Maintain epics and features within the required agile planning tools.

Candidate Qualification

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math. Equivalent experience: 4+ years as a project lead breaking down complex projects across organizational systems (Waterfall or Agile) may substitute.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of technical experience as a system user subject matter expert.
  • At least 1 year as a project lead managing complex deliverables across organization-wide projects.
  • Agile environment experience and SAFe framework knowledge preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Agile and Lean principles, with proven ability to scale using SAFe.
  • Ability to simplify complex solutions into actionable, sequential deliverables.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills across leadership, Product Owners, and stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational strategy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical experience with Agile and SAFe methodology.
  • Technical understanding as a system user SME to inform iteration requirements.
