San Francisco, CA / Santa Monica, CA / New York, NY – The Walt Disney Company’s Direct to Consumer division is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Data Analyst to join their Strategic Forecasting & Decision Analytics team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in optimizing strategic business decisions through data-driven insights.
In this role, you will leverage advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning and statistical analysis, to tackle diverse projects. These include content portfolio management, merchandising strategies, content acquisition and licensing, release strategy optimization, and understanding churn and subscriber health for Disney+ and Hulu.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field and 5+ years of relevant analytical experience, including proficiency in Python or R and SQL for cloud-based databases. Strong data storytelling and communication skills are essential to translate complex analyses into actionable business recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Disney is looking for someone who is a proactive problem-solver, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn and contribute to the success of their streaming platforms. Familiarity with data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau and experience with data engineering technologies such as Databricks and Spark are considered a plus. A passion for media and entertainment is also highly valued.
This Senior Data Analyst position offers a competitive salary, with the hiring range being $125,800 – $168,700 per year in San Francisco, $114,900 to $154,100 per year in Santa Monica, and $120,300 to $161,300 per year in New York. The final offer will be determined based on experience, skills, and location. Disney also provides a comprehensive benefits package.
