Role Overview

The Area Manager for Asset Protection oversees security and loss-prevention operations across multiple stores in the Colorado South region. This role ensures the protection of people, merchandise, and overall store experiences while driving safety, compliance, and operational excellence. The manager leads a team of Coordinators and Specialists, collaborating with store leadership to identify risks and implement proactive strategies.

Main Impact

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and coach AP Coordinators, Specialists, and Service Representatives across multiple locations.
  • Provide performance feedback, guidance, and professional development opportunities.

Safety & Loss Prevention Programs

  • Implement and monitor shortage reduction and safety initiatives tailored to each store.
  • Conduct and oversee investigations of theft, fraud, and policy violations in line with legal and company standards.

Data & Risk Management

  • Analyze incident trends and operational data to identify risks and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure physical security systems comply with company standards.

Collaboration & Compliance

  • Partner with store and regional leadership to align AP strategies with business goals.
  • Work with law enforcement and legal partners to support investigations and prosecutions.
  • Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and operational excellence across the area.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven leadership experience across multiple locations, with strong coaching skills.
  • Experience in investigations, surveillance, and shortage reduction.
  • Ability to analyze data and apply insights to improve results.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of retail operations and asset protection best practices.
