About the Role
The Analyst supports the Executive Director and plays a central role in Canada’s futures and options markets. The position blends quantitative analysis, market understanding, and clear communication. The Analyst studies exchange data, interprets patterns, explains insights to teams, and supports decisions that influence market design. The work includes regular interaction with internal partners and market participants.
Core Responsibilities
Market and Product Analysis
The Analyst conducts research in alignment with product owners and sales teams. They choose appropriate methods, explore open-ended inquiries, and shape findings that support business needs.
Business Insights and Reporting
The position helps teams understand market changes. The Analyst prepares quantitative and visual material on product usage, client outcomes, and the impact of incentives or fee structures. They deliver periodic statistical reports and maintain documents that guide internal planning.
Strategic Support and Forecasting
The Analyst prepares revenue projections, builds model scenarios, and contributes to annual budgeting. They support enterprise initiatives and outline potential impacts for stakeholders.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
The role includes attending client calls to build market knowledge. The Analyst assists business development teams, supports meetings, and nurtures relationships with internal and external partners.
Presentation and Material Development
The Analyst produces and updates corporate and client presentations that clearly and compellingly convey insights and recommendations.

Minimum Requirements
- One to two years of experience
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, financial engineering, econometrics, or actuarial sciences
- Experience with quantitative tools such as Excel, Tableau, and SQL
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical judgment
- Able to manage open-ended analysis and navigate uncertain situations
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Fluency in French and English is essential due to bilingual documentation and stakeholder interaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in finance with a focus on derivatives
- Master’s degree in a technical, financial, or economic field
- Certifications such as CFA or CSI
- Interest in equity options, futures, and financial markets
- Enjoyment of statistics and quantitative tools
