Role Overview
Nokia is seeking an RF Hardware Test Engineer to ensure the quality, durability, and performance integrity of advanced RF hardware solutions, particularly transmitters and transceivers. The role focuses on validating hardware performance under strict technical specifications and environmental conditions while strengthening product reliability throughout its lifecycle.
Working within a collaborative engineering environment, the RF Hardware Test Engineer contributes directly to product excellence by identifying risks early, refining validation strategies, and supporting continuous improvement across design and manufacturing processes.
Core Areas of Contribution
RF Verification and Validation
The engineer designs and executes detailed test plans for RF hardware verification. This includes conducting comprehensive RF performance measurements, including power output, receiver sensitivity, linearity, spectrum analysis, modulation accuracy, and spurious emissions testing. All activities must align with relevant industry standards, including 3GPP and ETSI requirements.
Performance Analysis and Issue Resolution
The role requires a thorough analysis of test results to detect hardware or software anomalies. By diagnosing complex technical challenges, the engineer provides actionable insights that enhance system robustness and operational stability.
Cross-Functional Engineering Collaboration
Close cooperation with hardware, software, mechanical, and system engineering teams is essential. Through structured technical feedback, the engineer influences product development from early design stages, ensuring performance reliability and testability remain central priorities.
Test Automation and Process Optimization
To improve efficiency and precision, the engineer contributes to the development and refinement of automated testing solutions. Continuous improvement initiatives draw on field data, historical insights, and lessons learned from previous programs.
Equipment Operation and Documentation
The role involves operating, maintaining, and calibrating advanced RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and environmental test chambers. Clear, structured documentation of test procedures, validation reports, and failure analyses is required to maintain traceability and compliance with standards.
Candidate Profile Requirement
Academic Background
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related discipline is required.
Professional Experience
Candidates should demonstrate experience in RF performance testing and electronic hardware validation. A solid understanding of RF theory, measurement techniques, and diagnostic methodologies is essential.
Familiarity with specialized RF test instruments and environmental chambers is expected. The role demands a strong analytical capability to evaluate complex systems and propose effective technical solutions.
Preferred Expertise
Additional value will be placed on hands-on experience with advanced RF test platforms and automation tools. Knowledge of industry standards governing RF performance and reliability is advantageous, as is experience with fault management systems and quality reporting frameworks.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are critical, as the role operates within multidisciplinary teams.
Benefits and Rewards
Nokia offers a comprehensive benefits package in Poland designed to support professional growth and personal well-being.
