Hershey Bolsters OT Security, Seeks Senior Engineer (Remote Options!)
HERSHEY, PA – The Hershey Company, a global confectionery giant, is ramping up its operational technology (OT) security, seeking a highly skilled Senior OT Security Engineer. This critical role aims to safeguard the company’s industrial control systems (ICS) against evolving cyber threats, ensuring the seamless and secure production of everyone’s favorite treats.
With the increasing convergence of IT and OT, Hershey recognizes the paramount importance of robust security measures. The Senior OT security Engineer will be at the forefront of this effort, deploying cutting-edge security tools, managing network scanning, and implementing crucial patches and upgrades to existing OT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deployment and support of OT security tools (firewalls, asset inventory, scanning).
- Supporting digital initiatives, including secure remote access and network infrastructure.
- Maintaining and upgrading ICS solutions, including servers, SCADA systems, and HMIs.
- Providing subject matter expertise on ICS technologies to ensure security and reliability.
- Auditing and maintaining OT security policies.
- Delivering ICS security awareness and standards training.
- Staying abreast of the latest ICS, IIoT, and cybersecurity trends.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field, along with 4+ years of experience in automation solutions, including industrial control networking and security. Experience in the food processing, confectionery, or pharmaceutical industries is highly desirable.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of ICS security design and defense-in-depth strategies.
- Experience securing cross-domain IT/OT communications and ICS-related protocols (Ethernet/IP, OPC, MODBUS, Profinet).
- Proficiency in PLC logic and integration of enterprise and control systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally. (>50%)
