Remote Psychiatrist Needed at Keller Army Community Hospital

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist to provide remote outpatient and consultation-liaison services to the brave men and women at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine outpatient services and consultation-liaison services.
  • Make recommendations on major diagnostics and treatment plans.
  • Provide continuing follow-up care for outpatients with acute disorders and complications of disorders, such as psychosis, organic brain syndrome, substance abuse/addiction.
  • Identify patient treatment needs and arrange for a safe therapeutic outcome.
  • Prepare case summaries and other correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited school in the United States or Canada.
  • Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • At least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting.
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency training program in Psychiatry.
  • At least 5 years of post-residency experience.
