About the Opportunity
Lattice is hiring an Engineering Manager, AI to lead the team responsible for its AI Intelligence Quality platform and help establish how AI quality is measured, evaluated, and improved across the company.
This is a remote position within the United States. The role combines engineering leadership, AI platform development, evaluation infrastructure, experimentation, observability, and developer tooling.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of AI and software engineers.
- Own delivery of the AI Platform roadmap and balance near-term product impact with long-term platform investments.
- Partner with Product, Applied AI, Data Science, and Engineering leaders on AI quality strategy.
- Build AI evaluation infrastructure, quality metrics, experimentation systems, observability, and developer tooling.
- Improve the scalability, reliability, and adoption of Lattice’s AI platform.
- Contribute to architecture, design reviews, and code reviews while developing engineers into stronger technical leaders.
- Help establish AI evaluation as a foundational capability used across Lattice’s AI product teams.
Required Background
Candidates should have demonstrated experience leading and growing high-performing software engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and developing engineers.
The role requires a strong technical background leading teams that build AI infrastructure, LLM-powered products, AI agents, distributed systems, or developer platforms.
AI and Platform Experience
Relevant experience includes enterprise SaaS AI products where quality, trust, reliability, and scalability are critical.
The successful candidate should be comfortable contributing to architecture and technical design decisions and working closely with Applied AI, Data Science, Product, and Engineering.
Preferred Background
Additional useful experience includes AI evaluation frameworks, experimentation platforms, ML infrastructure, statistical experimentation, A/B model testing, offline evaluations, model benchmarking, DPO, RLHF, model fine-tuning, preference learning, and internal developer platforms.

Compensation
Lattice lists an estimated annual cash salary range of $187,500 to $234,500 USD.
